New York Film Academy graduates, Lili du Toi, Jeanne Odendaal, and director, Roberto C. Marquez shot a music video while attending NYFA. Their video has been accepted at the New York Independent Film Festival, Denver Underground Film Festival, and the First Glance Film Festival. “I chose this project because the band gave me the liberty to be very abstract and experimental with my images,” said director, Marquez. “Having this creative freedom is very rare.”
Not only that, Roberto and Lili’s short film Ernie and The Moon just received an Award of Merit at The Indie Fest.
“The New York Film Academy gave me great practical experience, perfect to discover my own film language. Our goal is to keep making movies and get better at it each time. I want to please the viewers and my inner child .” In order to do so, the trio formed a production company called, Guavas and Grapefruits Productions. Their next project will be a feature film which is on schedule to go into production April 2013.
